What a great idea it has humour but is for a great cause. Good on Sean for donating the 10% as well. I hope it all goes marvellously well.

Personally, I think the success of the design is all down to the photography. Hm? No? I'll get me coat.

Hi Matt,

Great to see OtterBox giving back to the local community - long may it continue and keep up the great work! The world needs more companies like this!

All the best for 2011 and continued success.

Hi Christine,

I read your blog and really enjoyed it. OtterBox recently initiated a program similar to the R.A.K. that you described. You can read more about it at

Thanks for the blog and have a great 2011!

Hi Ali,
Thanks for commenting. Completely agree - it should be done for the right reasons otherwise it just won't work. The business needs to be committed and the Random Acts of Kindness should be genuine. Looking forward to seeing more businesses try to adapt to this in the coming year though.

I think anything that brings caring and compassion more into the business world is a good thing. However, it has to be genuine and from the heart not calculated or forced.

Apart from being good for our feeling of self worth and the world we live in, it just makes good business sense too.

Difficult to beat the Take That ad from 2 years ago but you can't really go wrong with Peter Kay! Would be surprised if they don't have a separate ad for their food offering though.
